Terms and Conditions

This is very important information you must read before buying any plans.

These plans should be everything that you need to build, but they may not be everything you need to obtain a building permit. Every area of the country is different so make sure you check with your local municipality or government office. Other things you might need:
The plans we offer conformed to most national building codes when they were created. Always check with your local government building office to see what you have to do to be in compliance with local codes. Some areas have specific engineering requirements, such as for earthquakes or hurricanes. Certain areas of the country, including some in Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey and New York, require a review by a licensed professional. Check with your local government office to determine the requirements for your area. There might be additional expenses you have to incur to hire an architect or structural engineer, so be sure to check before you start your project. My Garage Plans by TRC authorizes the sale and use of these plans expressly conditioned upon the buyer's obligation and agreement to strictly comply with all applicable codes, ordinances, regulations and requirements.

It is the buyer's obligation to verify all dimensions and material before construction. My Garage Plans by TRC does not guarantee the availability of any materials shown on the plans.

These are stock plans and therefore not stamped by a licensed architect or engineer. Your local government building department might require that the plans be stamped by a professional licensed in the state where you are building. You can take these plans to a professional licensed for your area to be reviewed and stamped if needed. Nevada has very strict requirements for building plans, so make sure you check before starting. All dimensional information presented on the site for product offerings is approximate and for informational purposes only and may vary slightly from actual drawing dimensions.

Returns Policy - Please understand that we can make no refunds. The designers of these plans worked many hours to create them and they will not allow us to accept returns of any sort, due to copyright restrictions.

My Garage Plans by TRC must be notified in writing or via email service@my-garage-plans.com within 30 days of plan shipment if the order is missing any items or was fulfilled incorrectly.

pdf File Download Purchases - Purchasers of pdf file downloads agree that by accepting these Terms and Conditions they acknowledge receipt of the files and agree that they do not own the copyright to the design or files and will not copy the files or otherwise distribute them. Buyer is allowed to make one copy of the files for backup purposes only. By accepting these Terms and Conditions the Buyer acknowledges that they will only use the files for the construction of a single garage. Each additional construction project requires its own separately procured set of plans. Buyer also acknowledges they are responsible for the printing of all drawings and that they will only print the number of copies necessary to complete construction of the garage.

CAD Package Purchases - Purchasers of CAD packages are required to sign a license agreement prior to delivery of the CAD package. A form will be emailed to you that must be printed and signed by you, then returned via fax, email (of a scanned copy) or regular mail prior to shipment of the package to you. Some CAD packages require extra processing prior to shipment and therefore could take extra time regardless of the shipping method you choose. Building Limitations - You may only build one structure per purchased plan package. Purchasing a multi-print package or reproducible packages does not allow you to build multiple times.

Copyrights - Drawings, designs, renderings and other products on this site are owned by the designers and considered intellectual property and governed by copyright laws. Reproduction of the designs, drawings, illustrations, working drawings or derivative works for any means is strictly prohibited. The right to build one structure from the plans purchased is licensed exclusively to the buyer and the plans may not be resold unless by expressed written authorization of My Garage Plans by TRC.
