Reproducible - the Reproducible Garage Plans Mastermake this choice if you want to make minor modifications to the plan or if you want to print your own drawings. You can print as many copies as you need from the Master, just keep in mind that you can only build one garage for any drawing plan you purchase. Your builder or architect can make any minor changes you want before printing. Approximate size of Reproducible Garage Plans Master is 24" x 18" per sheet. Check with your local copy company for availability if you are planning on printing them yourself.

CAD - pick the Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) Garage Plan option if you plan on making significant changes to your garage plan. The CAD drawing package comes on a CD. Modifications can be made by your builder or architect if they have AutoCAD or DataCAD compatible drawing programs. The drawings can be printed out by the builder or architect, or many printing shops will also have the capability. You will receive a license to build one garage per CAD plan.

Special Note: CAD Package Purchases - Purchasers of CAD packages are required to sign a license agreement prior to delivery of the CAD package. A form will be emailed to you that must be printed and signed by you, then returned via fax, email (of a scanned copy) or regular mail prior to shipment of the package to you.

PDF Files - pdf files are a complete set of construction drawings in electronic format. You can open, resize and print pdf files with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Some of the PDF files can be downloaded directly from this site, saving you time. These are identified on the product details page as downloadable pdf files. Several of the designers require that an additional form be signed prior to sending garage plans in pdf format. For those designers the pdf file will be shipped to you on a computer readable disk after the form is completed and returned. These pdf files are identified on the product details page as mailed pdf files. Adobe pdf files are not editable therefore you will not be able to make changes with this format.

1 Set of Prints - 1 Set of Garage Plan prints is available for you to pre-plan or study your garage. Generally you will need 5 Sets of Prints for a garage building project. When purchased alone, a single set of garage plan prints comes stamped with 'Not for construction' and is not to be used for building. In most cases you will need more than one set of prints to plan and complete your project. It is illegal to make copies of prints you receive. Approximate print size is 24" x 18".

2 Sets of Prints - 2 Sets of Garage Plan prints, approximate size 24" x 18" per sheet.

3 Sets of Prints - 3 Sets of Garage Plan prints, approximate size 24" x 18" per sheet.

4 Sets of Prints - 4 Sets of Garage Plan prints, approximate size 24" x 18" per sheet.

5 Sets of Prints - 5 Sets of Garage Plan prints is the minimum recommended number for a garage building project. Make sure you keep one set for yourself and track which subcontractor has each of the other sets. It is a good idea to make sure your general contractor has a dedicated set also. Check with your local government building office to see how many sets they need to issue building permits.

6 Sets of Prints - 6 Sets of Garage Plan prints, approximate size 24" x 18" per sheet.

7 Sets of Prints - 7 Sets of Garage Plan prints, approximate size 24" x 18" per sheet.

8 Sets of Prints - 8 Sets of Garage Plan prints is the recommended quantity for a quality construction project. You will want to keep one copy for yourself and you should have a set for the local government building office, your mortgage lender (if necessary) and a set for your general building contractor. All of your subcontractors (electrical, plumbing, concrete, carpenter, etc.) should have their own garage plan drawing set also to avoid confusion and delays. Check with your general contractor to see if any additional sets are needed.

Study Kit - A study kit is a single set of Garage Plan prints that include floor plans, elevations and cross sections at 1/8” scale. This allows you to pre-plan or study your garage. You cannot build your garage from a Study Kit. In most cases you will probably need 5 Sets of Prints for a garage building project. It is illegal to make copies of prints you receive.
