The Naperton 2 Car Garage PlansThe Naperton 2 car garage plans with separate office can be situated on your property to be used as either a side entry garage or a front entry garage. These detached garage plans are unique because they also include a below ground storm shelter. The storm shelter in these plans for a garage can also double as an extra storage area. In the front of the spacious 200+ square foot office of these 2 car garage plans, you will find a double window to let in plenty of fresh air and natural light. The office area in these plans for a garage could be converted to a workshop or it could be used for more storage space. There is another window on the other outer wall of the detached garage plans and a storage closet enclosed by an interior door. A coat closet is located just inside the main entry door. The exterior entry door itself is protected from the weather by a covered porch in these 2 car garage plans. A half bath/washroom is located just off the office for your convenience. An interior entry door gives you access to the garage bay area without having to leave the building.The garage itself in these plans for a garage is a deep 23' 4" and measures just over 450 square feet in area. Windows are located on each of the outer walls of these plans for a garage to let in loads of light. A standard sized double wide overhead door protects the entrance to the 2 car garage bay. At 23' 4" in depth, the Naperton 2 car garage plans can handle just about any long vehicle, including trucks, vans, SUVs and cars. Yes, even some cars get that long. The 1976 Fleetwood Brougham was one of the longest production cars we could find and it measured just short of 19 and one-half feet in length. Ford specs out the 2010 Super Duty Crew Cab pickup truck with the long wheel base at 262.4" in overall length, or 21' 10.4". Even this Super Duty would fit in the Naperton with room to spare lengthwise. Fitting widthwise is a different story. The 2010 Super Duty with standard mirrors measures 99.6" in overall width according to Ford. That converts to 8' 3.6", so the Super Duty with the mirrors would take over half of the 16' overhead door width. If you fold the mirrors you would save about 20", so you could fit another vehicle in the detached garage plans with the Super Duty, but it might be a tight squeeze depending on the width of the other vehicle.
